There are debts to be paid,
I am not looking for much,
Maybe an acknowledgement, a look, an apology,
Doesn't have to be long, detailed, eloquent,
Doesn't have to be fancy, cool, or fun-
I just need it to be fullfilled...
You owe me something,
There is no money involved,
Just your time, compassion, heart,
Don't have to dwell on the past,
Don't have to think about the future-
I just need something mow...
There are debts to be paid,
I don't want an indentured servant,
Just my friend, my right hand, my life,
I'm not gonna give a date and time-
I'm not gonna beg and plead-
I'm not giving reason without rhyme-
I'm just telling you what I need, want, and am looking for...
Just those debts to be paid.
